On June 28th, 2024, Hiddo Soor and Eshara made history for organizing the first ever Somali Independence Day Festival in Moorhead & Fargo, bringing in the Somali community in North Dakota and Minnesota to celebrate their culture. Many notable officials were also in attendence, such as the current mayor of Fargo, Dr. Tim Mahoney.
