Welcome to Hiddo Soor
Hiddo Soor’s mission is dedicated to empowering immigrants, refugees, and citizens, specifically in the Somali community. We offer resources such as youth programs and contests, job opportunities to those who are seeking employment, educational resources for students, and social guidance for those in need. While we form a community around connecting, we aim to help with adapting to the American lifestyle, whilst conserving our heritage by allowing those to express themselves through diverse mediums.
The Song of Hiddo Soor
Yurub Geenyo, a prominent Somali singer, who has gained widespread recognition for her compelling voice, collaborated with Hiddo Soor. They have created a meaningful song dedicated to Hiddo Soor and the surrounding Somali community. The lyrics, thoughtfully written by Hiddo Soor’s executive director, Mohamed Wardere, convey a message of unity and goodwill. Please listen here.
After School Programming
Hiddo Soor is working on launching an after-school program, including: Academic tutoring, the arts, and sports programming.
